Shark Attacks on both coasts!!!

it seems the summer of the shark is upon us "again"...no different here in florida...another surfer bit in New Smyrna Beach..looks pretty serious....with 20+ yrs as a surgical tech/first asst in orthopedics...those pics don't lie. Check our facebook page(facebook.com/firstlightsurfcompany) for the photos from the latest attack..that being said..dont get bit! .we are still offering a free t-shirt(sizes as available) or hat(these are going fast) with  each finban...we have sold out of the pink, and white, with limited yellow....but plenty of black(my fav)...also be sure to stop by our booth at the Sisters Of the Sea Contest in jax beach, florida sept. 6th this year and say Hi!

chris friel(in the white t-shirt) along with the gudauskas brothers..wear finbans...along with not picture here pros...taj burrow, dusty payne and brian toth. they wear it not because we pay them to...but because it works and they want to be safe and healthy. we just had a woman in south jax bch,fl  get bit in less than 4' of water...wading in the surf....26 stitches, and nerve damage...
i wish we could have gotten her one before.

marathon surf record bid

tommy cassaro local jax bch volunteer lifeguard was trying to set the marathon surf record this past weekend, which was set by another local surfer in 2012. he is trying to raise money and awareness for breast cancer(mom, and two friends diagnosed with it). although he was not able to accomplish this...in our minds he did more...and we give him huge props as one of his sponsors(check the right ankle for the fuschia finban)..you still can help him..by donating to surf4life.org.

after warming up...we had a bunch of thunderstorms...blow thru the past few days...water is cooler again...can't wait to be in just rash guard, shorts...and finbans..of course!
